I have some personal news to share. In three weeks, I’m starting a new chapter of my life, one where I’ll be living and working remotely in different parts of the world as a digital nomad!
Anyone who has known me personally throughout the years knows how badly I’ve wanted to live the nomad life. I was fascinated with stories of nomadic travelers like Chris McCandless in my teens. I didn’t have the the funds to study abroad in college, and I haven’t had a lifestyle of job that would allow for it for most of my career. Now that I’m privileged to have the income and job and life flexibility to do so, I’m finally setting off to live in different countries for one month at a time.
I’ll be traveling in and off-and-on way, maintaining my home base in the bay with my partner and cat, and visiting home between destinations. I’ll spend one month at a time in different places, living, working, and having adventures with new travel friends via WiFi Tribe and Hacker Paradise.
I’m starting with a trip to Oaxaca, Mexico from Sept. 9 – Oct. 8. My second trip will be to Buenos Aires, Argentina from Nov. 20 – Dec. 17. After that, we’ll see – My plan is to spend the majority of 2023 being abroad, planning the exact destinations as I go.
This new chapter of my life is part of why I decided to launch this blog. I’ll be posting about my adventures here and on various social media platforms to a certain extent. I’m also starting an email newsletter for email-based friends, DM me wherever we are connected to be added.
If you’ve led the digital nomad life yourself and have advice, or if you’d like to potentially meet up with me on my journeys, I’d love to hear from you! Feel free to reach out wherever we are connected.
This has been in the works for a long time, it’s a joy to finally be able to announce it publicly. I’m looking forward to sharing more soon!
